Our apartment in Cannes Californie
26 m2 renovated with care, 10 min from the Croisette. Our keys, our addresses, our neighborhood.
This is our home, not a managed rental. We renovated it for ourselves and share it with travellers when we are away. You get our keys, our favourite local spots, and a genuine Cannes neighborhood experience.
What is inside the apartment?
26 square metres might sound small. But we spent time optimising every centimetre. The bedroom has a real double bed (140 cm) with a new mattress and quality linens. The living room has a sofa bed for one or two extra guests. The kitchen is fully equipped: hob, fridge, microwave, Nespresso machine, and utensils for cooking real meals with produce from Marche Forville.
The bathroom was completely redone with an Italian-style walk-in shower. The split air conditioning cools the entire apartment - in Cannes in summer, it is indispensable, with temperatures reaching 30 to 35 degrees. The wifi is fiber at 54 Mbps, enough for video calls, remote work, and streaming without interruption.
Check-in is self-service via a smart lock. We send you a code before arrival, and you enter whenever you want, 24/7. No appointments, no waiting for anyone. It is your apartment for the duration of your stay.
Where is the apartment?
In the Californie neighborhood, on the eastern hills of Cannes. A quiet residential area, far from the tourist bustle of the Croisette, but only a few minutes walk from everything that matters. Streets lined with parasol pines, Belle Epoque villas behind flowering gardens, and in the evening, the sound of cicadas rather than car horns.
The neighborhood has its own Casino supermarket open until midnight (2 minutes on foot), its bakery where we get Sunday croissants (3 minutes), and that village-within-a-city atmosphere that makes you feel at home from day one.
How far are the beaches and the center?
Everything is walkable. Walk down the hill for 10 minutes and you are on the Croisette, facing the sea. The public beach Zamenhof - our favourite - is 10 minutes. The Palais des Festivals is 15 minutes. The SNCF train station (for Nice, Monaco, Antibes) is 10 minutes. Marche Forville, where we shop in the morning, is 12 minutes. Le Suquet - old Cannes - is 14 minutes.
Who is this apartment for?
For couples who want to discover Cannes like locals, not like tourists. For solo travellers looking for a comfortable, well-located base. For people attending congresses at the Palais des Festivals - MIPIM in March, the Film Festival in May, Cannes Lions in June, MIPCOM in October - who want to return to a quiet neighborhood in the evening.
For remote workers too. The fiber, the AC, the calm, and the Nespresso make for a rather pleasant temporary office. Work in the morning, swim in the afternoon. That is the good life.
It is not for large families (26 m2 has its limits) or groups of friends looking to party (this is a quiet residential neighborhood).
☕ What we love about this apartment
In the morning, we walk down to the bakery at the bottom of the street for warm croissants. We come back up, brew a coffee, and sit with the quiet of the neighborhood as the only soundtrack. In the evening, we walk 10 minutes to the beach for a sunset aperitif. Simple, but that is exactly why we live here.
